well due to technical difficulties... here we are at blooger spot or whatever it's called!
i'm going to post the manchester pictures again... all three of them becuase the site crashed just as i had put those up.
maeve looking ultra dubious!
my three new friends from manchester trip... in my studio. me, thea and gareth all share a little alcove now! it's very nice and homey :)
that's thea
that's gareth
and
that's rebecca! great fun :)
this week was fairly uneventful. i read a lot. on the holocaust.
on monday i had lunch with my friend jana.
on tuesday i hung out most of the day with amy
on wednesday i had class all day. and we had a visiting speaker who was a holocaust survivor. he had actually been in auschwitz. it was incredible and very sad.
thursday i don't even remember! except for pizza and wine while watching crazy/beautiful with yancy. it was in celebration of her amazing cultural studies essay results!
and friday i had a class that was dreadful!
on saturday i spent the whole day reading 'winter in the morning' by janina bauman.
it was really an amazing book to read. it was beautifully written and it felt like fiction... and then you remember that it actually all happened. it's very humbling to read things like this.
i also spent the day taking upside down photos becuase i was amazed at how my room looked from upside down...
on saturday night yancy and i went out with my friend Hayley from Griselda's class and her boyfriend and a mix of other's as well.
here is yancy and me playing with a poster and other random things before we went out
we went to four bars! we met at courtyard which steve had told me and yancy was a gay bar... it actually wasn't (he's such a drunk). then we went to weatherspoons
that was like being in a meat market it was dreadful! the only good thing was £1.50 drinks... of every kind!
then we went to prohibition which was insanely crowded and expensive.
we found a sign on the way out of there that said demand attention... here is yancy and some boys demanding attention!
we ended at the atrium which was 6 quid to get in but WAS THE BEST PART OF THE NIGHT!
i've had a good fill of dancing like mad to oasis now! and franz!! and the killers! great music... some odd people. a random fight. but good fun all the same. i got home at 2am (whoa party animal!)
so hope you have enjoyed.
news on the studio front. today i moved to lifton place... which is an old house made into studios! i have two friends there who even made a map of all the places that i could have a spot in. tomorrow i'll take some photos.
here is one last image of the photo in the window.
and the disaster that was my old space
and yes the signs that say 'thank you fellow students for impinging upon my space. you are so welcoming.' did work. i have been hailed savior of the chemistry studios.
that's all for now.
it's raining (booo) but i want to go home.
terrah!
